Also, I found out several hosting companies charge lower renewal prices, while others offer higher prices with discounted buy prices for the first year.

For .com Extension
For the demo, I used the “EasyTechWeb.com” domain name. I searched for it on GoDaddy and got the following result:
GoDaddy charges the .com domain $0.01 for the first year with a three-year registration. You save 33% and pay only $43.99 today.
However, GoDaddy’s biggest marketing strategy is the 1 Cent domain, but do you know how much it charges if you buy it for one year?

However, regardless of how many years you want to register a domain name, the renewal price for the .com extension is a flat $21.99.
For .net Extension
Now you know how much a .com domain name costs on GoDaddy, but what about other extensions? Let’s find out.
I searched for the “EasyTechWeb.Net” domain and got this.
GoDaddy charges a .Net domain $7.99 for the first year; you save 68%. The renewal price is $24.99.
For .org Extension
Apart from .com and .net domain extensions, GoDaddy also sells .org extensions for $9.99 annually, which is 56% off. The renewal price is $22.99 per year.
For .co Extension
If you want to register a domain name with the .co extension, you have to pay $11.99 for the first year, which is 75% off. The renewal price is $47.99, which is way too high compared to other extensions.

How Much Does a Domain Cost on Namecheap?
As the name suggests, Namecheap.com is one of the cheapest domain name registrars in the domain market.
Though it doesn’t offer extreme discounts like GoDaddy, it has lower renewal costs.
Namecheap has registered over 16 million domain names and offers almost 50% discounts for new customers.
What is the domain name cost on Namecheap? Well, I searched for “EasyTechWeb” and got this result.
Namecheap charges $10.28 per year for the .com domain and renews it for $13.98 annually. However, if you are a new customer, you can get it for only $5.98 with a promo code.
You can buy a .org domain for $7.48/yr and renew it for $12.98/yr. The .net domain costs $4.68/yr and renews for $14.98/yr.
For a .co domain, you need to pay $10.98/yr, which renews at $29.98/yr. On the other hand, Namecheap charges the lowest for the .info extension, which is $3.48 per year, and renews at $21.98/yr.
